Yesterday, our beloved Kyle Yost asked how you’d feel if the Lions cheated their way to a Super Bowl win. As of this writing, 54 percent of you said you wouldn’t like it, while 34 percent said they wouldn’t mind it happening.
Today, we ask the question of whether such a thing is even possible.
Question of the day: What is the football equivalent of banging on trash cans?
The closest thing I can come up with is a few years back when DeMarco Murray was calling out the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive plays from the Philadelphia Eagles’ sideline. Murray had spent the last several years with Dallas, but had signed with Philly in free agency. There was an infamous picture of him with his hands on his knees yelling towards the Eagles’ secondary.
You also have the case every few years when, during a windy game, a playsheet will fly over to the other sideline and everyone gets a chuckle while players try to get a quick look at it.
Realistically, football is simply too complex for such a thing to happen. Even in Murray’s case, the trick only works for so long due to how vast NFL playbooks are and how frequently they’re changing. It simply isn’t possible in this league.
Do you think otherwise? Let us know in the comments.
