After the Detroit Lions agreed to terms with both Danny Shelton and Nick Williams, it looked like they’d be going their separate ways with free agent A’Shawn Robinson. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero confirmed that on Wednesday evening, reporting that Robinson is signing a massive two-year, $17 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams.
The #Rams are signing former #Lions DT A’Shawn Robinson to a two-year, $17 million deal, his agent, Sean Kiernan of @SelectSports, tells me and @RapSheet.

Robinson had an up-and-down four years in Detroit. A former second-round pick, Robinson at times flashed his potential as a run-stuffer and quickly got noticed for his propensity to knock down passes at the line of scrimmage. But he never showed a lot of consistency, and after a promising finish to the 2018 season, he regressed again last year.
Robinson is getting a pretty nice payday from the Rams, though, and playing next to Aaron Donald is a pretty good deal for him, too.
As for the Lions, they will likely still be looking for depth, as they continue to search for replacements for Robinson, Damon Harrison Sr. and potentially Mike Daniels.
