The Detroit Lions have certainly been the most active team in the division so far — agreeing to terms with six free agents as well as trading for safety Duron Harmon from the New England Patriots.
At the writing of this post, here’s a quick run down of where each team stands as far as new players signed :
Detroit Lions
- OT Halapoulivaati Vaitai
- LB Jamie Collins Sr.
- DT Nick Williams
- QB Chase Daniel
- DT Danny Shelton
- CB Desmond Trufant
Green Bay Packers
- LB Christian Kirksey
- OT Rick Wagner
Minnesota Vikings
- DT Michael Pierce
Chicago Bears
- LB Robert Quinn
- TE Jimmy Graham
So, today’s question is:
Which NFC North team has had the best free agency?
My answer:
If we’re strictly looking at bodies added, it’s easy to choose the Lions. Bob Quinn has been actively filling holes and, so far, it seems like he’s doing it at a relatively good price.
Although it’s not technically a free agent signing, the Bears made probably the biggest splash when they traded for Nick Foles from Jacksonville Jaguars.
The least active team by far has been the Packers. After coming out with a bang last offseason, they’ve held back so far in 2020.
So, what do you think? Do you agree that the Lions have had the strongest free agent period or is there another team you think has done better?
