As COVID-19 continues to spread across the state of Michigan and the rest of the world, doctors, nurses and police officers are being overwhelmed and overworked. Beaumont Health recently announced they are “nearing capacity” as their eight hospitals begin to fill up with coronavirus patients, and the numbers of those infected continue to climb in Michigan.
Medical professionals continue to put the wealth of the nation ahead of their own, risking the well-being of themselves and their loved ones so that those in need get the treatment they deserve.
The Stafford family is hoping to provide some relief to those brave individuals.
According to local news channel Click On Detroit, Kelly and Matthew Stafford are providing free meals for local first responders at the Royal Oak Wahlburgers near one Beaumont Hospital. Here are the details:
“The couple said they will cover up to $5,000 in orders made by first responders, including doctors, nurses, police officers and firefighters, during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.”
But that’s just the beginning for the Staffords. Kelly announced on her Instagram page Wednesday morning that the couple will be doing this with several local eateries.
“We will be doing this at multiple restaurants in michigan,” Kelly wrote in her Instagram story. “I will announce them tomorrow here on my Instagram with all the details, so if you work at a hospital, please go grab a meal on us and please stay safe and healthy. Thank you for all you do.”
Thank you for all that you do for the city of Detroit, Matthew and Kelly. And please, everybody, stay safe out there.
