Ask POD: Riding Wave 2 of free agency

Wave 2 of free agency is here, and the Detroit Lions made a bunch of minor moves in the process. Filling out the bottom of their roster with a bunch of special teams signings that could potentially turn into something more doesn’t provide for many attention-grabbing headlines, but it’s certainly all part of the offseason process.

To finish the week, the Lions made a very interesting signing with former second-round draft pick Reggie Ragland. Though Ragland has struggled a lot in his young career, he’s got all the makings of the kind of linebacker the Lions staff values: He’s big, he’s strong, and he defends the run well. In a way, that signing has the potential to throw a wrench into Detroit’s linebacker depth chart, clouding this team’s commitment to a guy like Jarrad Davis.

So while the second wave of free agency didn’t grab many national headlines for Detroit, it does provide some interesting storylines. We’ll talk about them all on this week’s PODcast, but we’ll need your help to round out the show.

In the comment section below, send us your questions about anything you’d like us to talk about. Nothing is off limits, and always love answering the weird ones.
