Wednesday open thread: Which star cornerback do you want on the Detroit Lions?

The Lions have been a part of a flurry of rumors this offseason. They’ve involved everyone from Chris Harris Jr. to Tua Tagovailoa to Darius Slay to Matthew Stafford. The only one with substance however was the confirmed notion that the Lions are exploring all possible options with Darius Slay including trading him, which was confirmed by general manager Bob Quinn during Combine week. This comes at the same time as rumors that the Lions may pursue a trade for Chris Harris Jr. or pursue Byron Jones in free agency.

Question of the day: Which cornerback do you want anchoring your defense?

My answer: Darius Slay.

Although Slay is getting up there in age, Harris isn’t much younger. While Jones is, he’s not the same at tier of corner play that Slay is on, but he is a heck of an athlete. I’d like for Slay to stay on the Lions. I’d like the Lions to sign Byron Jones. I wouldn’t want the Lions to give up capital to get Harris and pay him big money.
