We’re nearing the end of our Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft. Every year, we go two rounds deep in the mock, which is entirely created by folks in our comment section. However, this year will be a little different. Because the Detroit Lions have the third pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, we extended the mock by three extra picks.
But I’m getting ahead of myself here.
When we last checked in on the POD Community Mock, the Detroit Lions—as headed by Kent Lee Platte—selected Michigan center/guard Cesar Ruiz with the 35th overall pick after taking Chase Young in the first round.
That puts the New York Giants on the clock with the 36th overall pick. Here is their pick, along with the 14 picks that followed:
36. New York Giants - G/C Lloyd Cushenberry
37. Los Angeles Chargers - QB Jordan Love
38. Carolina Panthers - OT Ezra Cleveland
39. Miami Dolphins - DT Jordan Elliott
40. Houston Texans - CB Damon Arnette
41. Cleveland Browns - S Jeremy Chinn
42. Jacksonville Jaguars - WR Brandon Aiyuk
43. Chicago Bears - S Antoine Winfield Jr.
44. Indianapolis Colts - RB D’Andre Swift
45. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - OT Isaiah Wilson
46. Denver Broncos - WR Laviska Shenault Jr.
47. Atlanta Falcons - CB Bryce Hall
48. New York Jets - C Tyler Biadasz
49. Pittsburgh Steelers - OT Austin Jackson
50. Chicago Bears - EDGE Julian Okwara
On Monday, we’ll release the next 16 picks in the draft, leading up to the final one in the Pride of Detroit Community Mock: The Detroit Lions’ selection with the 67th overall pick. That pick will be announced on Tuesday morning.
What are your thoughts on the 15 picks above? Any surprises? Any steals?
