In order to make room for their incoming draft picks and their undrafted free agent signings, the Detroit Lions released four players on Monday morning: running back Tra Carson, long snapper James Fisher, guard Casey Tucker and punter Matt Wile.

For all four of these players, their path to the 53-man roster was made even more unlikely after the additions made by the team this past weekend.

Carson was likely bumped off the roster after Detroit drafted two running backs in D’Andre Swift and Jason Huntley. Long snapper James Fisher will be replaced by undrafted free agent signing Steven Wirtel, who will have a tough time unseating incumbent Don Muhlbach. Tucker had the poor luck of Detroit drafting two guards in Jonah Jackson and Logan Stenberg. And, finally, Matt Wile was replaced by undrafted free agent Arryn Siposs.

Here’s what the depth chart looks like at each players’ position now after the draft.
