The Lions roster has had an especially high turnover rate since Bob Quinn took over, but this year in particular we’ve seen something unprecedented: the Lions have overhauled just about their entire starting defense.
There are a number of new faces, be it from free agency or the draft. Some of the most exciting players include former Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant, former Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins, former Georgia running back D'Andre Swift, and former Ohio State Buckeyes Jonah Jackson and Jeff Okudah.
Question of the day: Which new Lion are you most excited to see on the field?
My answer: Jamie Collins.
We’ve talked for two years about how unique Matt Patricia’s defense is, and now Patricia finally has a linebacker perfectly suited for his system. He’s athletic too (but don’t tell Patricia that).
The linebackers are arguably the Lions’ least athletic position group and with Collins able to play many roles in Patricia’s defense, it will help a lot with his situational ability to take over as LB1.
Who are you most excited to see in a Lions uniform? Let us know in the comments.
