This offseason has featured numerous uniform redesigns across the NFL. While teams like the Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Chargers unveiled new uniforms that were met with applause, teams like the Los Angeles Rams and the Atlanta Falcons have been absolute duds. At times this offseason I would see a new uniform and be reminded that, while the Lions’ current jerseys aren’t perfect, they could be a lot worse.
How do you feel about the Lions’ jerseys in retrospect?
My answer: I love them simply because they toed the line of the “new era” style but didn’t botch it with, say, alarm clock numbers. I’m grateful they didn’t turn out worse, and they’ve owned up to areas for improvement, such as rocking the all-blues more often than they wear their actual color rush, the all-grays.
My one beef with them is still that the numbers aren’t as readable as I’d like, but this offseason I’m finding myself especially grateful that they aren’t a whole lot worse.
How do you feel? Did you love them from the start? Have you always hated them? Does this offseason make you feel better about them? Let us know in the poll below and in the comments.
