Due to the uncertain nature of international travel amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the NFL was forced to postpone their international series of games for the entire 2020 season. Prior to the breakout, the NFL was scheduled to play four games in London this year, plus an additional contest in Mexico City.
The Detroit Lions were rumored to be one of the team slated to play in London this year in one of two contests hosted by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Those rumors really started to heat up near the 2020 official schedule drop but were never 100% confirmed. However, the Jaguars essentially confirmed it in a recent letter sent out to their season ticket holders:
I think this is the first time I've seen them confirm who the London opponents were going to be, no? pic.twitter.com/nhowO75Q19

It’s unclear if the Lions will get another chance at playing in London in the near future, but they aren’t scheduled to play an away game against the Jaguars for another eight years.
- Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports has a rough tale about Kerryon Johnson’s brother—also named Kerryon Johnson. He has been stuck in Romania for nearly two months due to the COVID-19 crisis and is very likely to miss the birth of his first child. Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press has more on the story, as well.
- Former Lions safety Don Carey has moved on from his football career and has now stepped into the political arena:
Big congrats in store for former Lions S Don Carey, who won the city council race in Chesapeake, Va., earlier this month in historic fashion. Carey said he got the most votes in a council race in city history. He'll be sworn in June 30th.

- Jeff Risdon of Lions Wire has 10 Lions players that will enter the summer already on the roster bubble.
- On Thursday, Taylor Decker and Christian Jones met with the media during a Zoom call. You can watch the full sessions here. See if you can spot the part where WoJo started tuning into the Red Wings press conference, interrupting everything, but prompting a hilarious response from Lions Director of Football Communications Eamonn Reynolds:
