Thursday open thread: Where is your favorite place to watch the Lions?

Where do you love to be on Sundays in the fall?

There’s an interesting trend that’s been happening in the NFL over the last decade or so.

NFL teams (and cities) are putting more and more money into new stadiums, but at the same time, the TV experience is getting better every single year. The irony of the entire situation is that stadiums are trying to be more like living rooms and living rooms are becoming more like the stadium.

Heck, now you can even watch games right on your phone.

This season will most likely look entirely different as the league tries to navigate playing games amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. And that means watching games on Sundays will look different too. If stadiums have fans, it will certainly be fewer than typically are allowed in.

And that brings us to today’s question of the day:

Where is your favorite place to watch the Lions?

My answer: My basement

I love going to the Ford Field every now and then, but for me it isn’t as fun as getting folks together and hanging out in my basement.

At home I can buy my own beer and snacks, use my own bathroom, and stretch out on my couch.

But I am curious. What is your favorite spot to watch the Lions? Are you a season ticket holder who can’t wait to get back to the stadium? Or are you like me and enjoy watching the game at home?

Let me know in the comments below.
