Season strategy - management.

If the NFL goes with no preseason

Stafford coming off two years of significant injury due to being hit -

might carry a huge risk to the team by starting and playing all snaps in game 1 or all season

as coaches work players back into shape , will starters play most snaps ? With team depth potentially being tested this season, will it be more important than ever that the depth gets reps ?

The Lions oline will be new and looks young in experience should the lions consider letting Chase or Blough

get live game reps as the oline gets its first real chance to play together to help

mitigate the risk of injury to Stafford , who they’ll need for the full season ..,?

if the oline struggles to gel early , if you were coach , would you consider sitting Stafford until the oline

gets settled ?

The same could apply to a guy like Okudah who won’t get fame reps until regular season -

if he struggles early , how long a rope does he get ?

Stafford means so much to success of the team and his injury

last two seasons really impacted the team

What approach would you take towards

the first real games ?

Are there other considerations you’d plan for ie how to be prepared

in a season that looks like it’ll have some unique challenges ....?
