Detroit Lions rookie Jeff Okudah offered an interesting “random thought” on Twitter on Sunday: he has never attended an NFL game.
Random Thought: I have never been to an NFL Game.

Many fans said they hadn’t been to one either, while other fans were shocked:
Wait what ?!

What?!?!?!?????

The former Ohio State star selected third overall in this year’s draft didn’t elaborate more on the subject, but many fans pointed out in response to his tweet that they haven’t been to one because it’s an expensive outing. I found an article on Business Insider on what it costs to go to an NFL game at every stadium in the league - sheesh.
Whatever the reason, he soon found out he wasn’t alone, at least three former NFL players said the same thing.
Same here. My 1st NFL Game was the first of my career.

I was the same way bro

So when you see Okudah step onto the field, whenever that may be with everything that’s going on, remember that’s his first NFL game. It’s a subject worth exploring on a larger scale - how many players across the league over the years have experienced their first NFL game after they’ve signed?
And onto the rest of your notes.
- NFL Network analysts who are former players weighed in on their best career decisions, and Nate Burleson said his best move was coming to the Motor City. “I signed in the hopes of helping an underdog become relevant and ended up falling in love with a city that needed it.”
- The Lions have recently made three new hires, including the man behind the “boo-meter,” which gauged how fans were virtually cheering or booing each pick of the 2020 NFL draft. Evan Petzold for The Detroit Free Press has more.
- Yikes! Looks like linebacker Jahlani Tavai had some trouble with fireworks this Fourth of July weekend. Luckily everything ended up okay, reports Lions Wire’s Jeff Risdon.
- Some uniform fun. (Throwbacks all day everyday, baby.)
Imagine it.

It's Sunday and the Lions are about to run out of the tunnel. Which uniform combo are you wearing?

- Former Lions safety and special teams pro Tommy Vaughn has passed away at the age of 77, reports the Freep’s Elaine Sung.
