After an offseason that seemed like it would never end, the Detroit Lions will finally take their Allen Park practice field donning pads for the first time all offseason. And for the first time since January, a select few media members will be in attendance to witness everything that happens.
The Detroit Lions’ first padded practice of the season is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET on Monday morning, with select players and head coach Matt Patricia expected to speak after practice.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Pride of Detroit will not be on the premises for any first-hand observations—though we will be there on Tuesday and a couple of other times throughout the week. So, instead, we’ll be watching around with the rest of you as we seek live updates from the media on hand and the Detroit Lions themselves.
So in this article we’ll be providing live updates through two sources. Our Twitter list below has all the media members you’ll want to follow as they give updates from Allen Park. Note: new NFL rules this year forbid any live updates from training camp, but you can probably expect a Twitter storm of activity once Day 1 of practice is over.
Additionally, for the first time this year, the Lions will be producing a live training camp show from Allen Park featuring instant analysis and live highlights from practice. As soon as that goes live at 10 a.m. ET, we’ll embed that into the post, as well.
So stick around right here for all of you Day 1 training camp updates and feel free to chat about it in the comment section!
