It’s hard to believe we’re just a few weeks away from actual football. And with training camp in mid-swing, it’s time to start thinking about how the Lions’ season will play out.
Few things went right for the Lions last year and a large part of that due to a bottom-level defense. The bad news is that I’m not sure the Lions did enough there to be consistent in 2020.
Today’s Question of the Day is:
What position group is the Lions’ weak link?
My answer: The defensive line held the Lions defense back in 2019 and I’m afraid they’re going to do the same in 2020. The Lions’ front office tried to improve the defense in the draft and free agency, but the lack of pass rush could end up hurting them for a second year in a row.
The x-factor could be Jamie Collins Sr. (although technically he’s a linebacker), but other than him, I’m not sure who else along the line is going to make a consistent impact.
