Due to inclement weather, the Detroit Lions have moved Friday’s practice indoors. Unfortunately for media members like myself—who are considered tier-3 reporters—that means I am not able to enter the Lions facility to observe training camp today. That right is reserved to the very select reporters who have been undergoing daily COVID-19 tests.
So that means reports on Friday’s practice are going to be very limited, but we’ll try to bring you as many second-hand news as possible as we enter the final few days of training camp.
Here’s what we already know: Despite a late-practice scare on Thursday, starting right tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai is fine and is expected to practice Friday. Additionally, it sounds like D’Andre Swift, Hunter Bryant, Bo Scarbrough and Da’Shawn Hand will be very limited again Friday. As for Taylor Decker and Trey Flowers, who have been held out of team drills lately, they are dealing with soreness and may or may not give it a go Friday.
Finally, Patricia noted to reporters Friday morning that the team will be taking off the shoulder pads today in anticipation for a high-intensity practice on Saturday.
Practice is expected to start around 10:30 a.m. ET. Below is our Twitter list to keep you up to date with news out of Allen Park.
