Can the Lions do enough to beat the Bears?

A new season is upon us! There’s nothing like the clean slate of a new season to give every NFL fan hope.

For the Detroit Lions, it starts at one o’clock on Sunday afternoon against the Chicago Bears. Last season, the Lions struggled to stop a Bears offense that was one of the worst in the NFL—giving Mitchell Trubisky some of his best games of the season.

If the Lions want to walk away with a win on Sunday they’ll have to do some things they weren’t able to do last season.

So, today’s question of the day is:

What’s the one thing the Lions need to do to win on Sunday?

My answer: Play better defense

It’s no shock that the Lions had one of the worst defenses in the NFL last season. But they are hoping that the moves they made this offseason will be enough to help them close out close games this season.

The Lions have a potential top-five offense in the NFL so even a mediocre defense could help them win more games in 2020. If the Lions can limit Mitchell Trubisky on Sunday they’ll win the game.

What do you think?
