The NFL kicked off their 2020 season on Thursday night as Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs picked up right where they left off with a dominant win over the Houston Texans. Though it was a limited crowd and slightly-sloppy football, the sense of normalcy was still overwhelming as there’s nothing better than watching live football.
This year, the Pride of Detroit staff will be providing their picks for every game this season, and we all started the season with a big, fat dub on “Thursday Night Football.” As we look towards Sunday to our first slate of Week 1 games, despite the lack of information, there are a lot of games in which our picks are unanimous.
100 percent of our staff are picking:
- Lions over Bears
- Ravens over Browns
- Eagles over Washington
- Colts over Jaguars
- Bills over Jets
- Steelers over Giants
Combine with Chiefs, and that’s seven of 16 opening week matchups with a unanimous vote.
That being said, Buccaneers vs. Saints could be the most exciting and unpredictable matchup of Week 1 as eight of 12 have the Saints with four going with the Bucs. Titans vs. Broncos is even more split, with our picks even split six and six.
Stay tuned later in the week, as we’ll provide our specific score predictions for Lions vs. Bears.
