Okudah was listed as questionable earlier in the week with the injury, and now it looks as though he will have to wait another week to make his long awaited NFL debut.
Okudah had struggled in training camp for the team, and may not have been in the starting lineup anyways had he played against the Bears. 2019 fifth round selection Amani Oruwariye had taken a majority of first team snaps during camp, and was the projected Week 1 starter. This news all but confirms that it will be Oruwariye starting across from veteran Desmond Trufant to start the season.
The corner, if reports are true, will join tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai as another key piece who was set to make his Lions debut this week, but will miss the game due to injury.
