Detroit Lions football is here. It’s been almost a full year since we’ve seen them win a football game, but each year hope springs eternal. We may be in for a sloppy start due to... well, everything, but Lions football is decidedly better than no Lions football.
This year, the Lions open against the Chicago Bears. It’s almost cruel to start the season against a divisional foe given how raw these teams will likely be out of the game, but at the same time, what better way to drum up a ton of excitement for the season opener.
If we’re looking at the big picture, Sunday could be the start of something special or the beginning of the end for this era of Lions football. But, today, let’s not think about all that. Today, football returns, the Detroit Lions have an opportunity to start the season undefeated while taking down a divisional foe.
Let’s get this thing started!
