The Detroit Lions will officially be without two potential superstars on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay is officially inactive for Week 1 after battling a hamstring injury all week of practice. Joining him is Lions first-round pick Jeff Okudah, who had been limited in practice with a hamstring injury of his own.

For Golladay, the Lions will likely rely heavily on Marvin Hall to take his place. This is also an opportunity for fifth-round pick Quintez Cephus to make his NFL debut and see more playing time than originally anticipated. Cephus impressed at training camp, but it’s unclear if he’s ready to take over a significant role quite yet.

Additionally, the Lions will be missing starting right tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai, as he was declared out earlier in the week with a foot injury. Backup swing tackle Tyrell Crosby is expected to start in his place.

For the Bears, starting outside linebacker Robert Quinn is inactive due to an ankle injury. However, Khalil Mack, David Montgomery, and Cordarrelle Patterson—all considered questionable on Friday—are ACTIVE for Sunday and will play.
