But at least some good news regarding Jeff Okudah.

The Detroit Lions went without pads on Wednesday, and after a quick look at their injury report, it’s easy to see why. A total of five players did not end up participating during practice, including three starters: Kenny Golladay, Halapoulivaati Vaitai and Desmond Trufant.

Golladay has now missed three straight practices after injury his hamstring a week ago. Against the Chicago Bears, the Lions mostly used rookie receiver Quintez Cephus in his place, who caught three passes for 43 yards on Sunday.

Likewise, Halapoulivaati Vaitai has also now missed three straight practices. His replacement, Tyrell Crosby, helped protect Matthew Stafford to the tune of just one sack against the Bears, and helped pave the way for the 138 rushing yards last week.

As for Trufant, he joins the long list of injuries in the secondary. Starting nickel cornerback Justin Coleman was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week, while backup Darryl Roberts also popped up on the injury report Wednesday after playing 28 snaps in relief on Sunday. The good news is that third overall pick Jeff Okudah was a full participant in practice, and appears set to make his NFL debut against the Packers.

Here is the Lions’ full injury report from Wednesday.
