Roster cutdown day is now just three days away. The Detroit Lions likely already have a good idea of 40-45 players that are going to make this team, but that final 5-15 players could still be fighting for a job as the Lions close out three more practices before the deadline.
With media now essentially locked out for any meaningful portion of practices, it’s time to file our final roster predictions for the 2020 Detroit Lions. So on this week’s PODcast, we did exactly that. Chris Perfett and I went position-by-position and made our best guestimates on who the Lions will be keeping and who the Lions will be showing the door.
There’s actually quite a lot of disagreement between the two of us, particularly on the ever-changing defense. We’ll debate which bubble players have done enough to make the team, and which just missed out.
Also, Taylor Decker signed a monster extension just hours before recording, so we give our quick thoughts on the deal, as details continue to roll in.
You can listen to the PODcast on your favorite podcast platform—including Spotify—or you can rewatch the broadcast on our Twitch page and catch all the visual gags. (Note: It will be coming to our YouTube page as well, but we’re dealing with some technical issues this morning)
