NFL Week 2 picks: Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers score predictions

Our experts’ picks for the Lions’ Week 2 matchup against the Packers.

NFL: Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The Detroit Lions are hoping to get their season on tracks before it’s too late. While an 0-2 start both overall and in the division would put Detroit in a serious hole, a win over the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau would be the perfect rebound after Week 1’s disappointing collapse against the Chicago Bears.

Unfortunately, the outlook isn’t great. The Packers are six-point favorites coming into Sunday, and with Aaron Rodgers looking like his old self, that’s not exactly good news for Lions secondary that is beat up and incredibly young. The Vikings secondary was young and inexperienced, and Rodgers exploited that.

As a result, almost the entirety of the Pride of Detroit staff is taking the Packers this week. That being said, some of us are picking a close fight—see my 24-20 prediction—while others are predicting... well, doom and gloom.

However, there is one brave soul among us. Mike Payton is taking the Lions in a 35-27 shootout.

Here’s a look at all of our score predictions for the Lions’ Week 2 matchup against the Packers. Now let’s hear yours:

Jeremy Reisman (0-1): 24-20 Packers
Jerry Mallory (0-1): 33-24 Packers
John Whiticar (0-1): 37-13 Packers
Kellie Rowe (0-1): Packers win
Kyle Yost (0-1): 28-20 Packers
Mike Payton (0-1): 35-27 Lions
Justin Simon (0-1): 27-20 Packers
Andrew Kato (0-1): 31-16 Packers
Ryan Mathews (0-1): 38-17 Packers
Alex Reno (0-1): 30-20 Packers
Mansur Shaheen (0-1): 31-20 Packers
Chris Perfett (0-1): 33-9 Packers
Hamza Baccouche (0-0): 31-23 Lions
