Nobody on the Lions is making plays and Patricia’s seat is getting hot

Fear and loathing in Detroit is back again

You were warned this would happen.

Schedules be damned. Blasting, sinister specters screech as the Lions find themselves in a pernicious 0-2 hole in the NFC North, in the overall NFL standings, in my damn heart. Two games remain until their early bye week. A pointed question remains: could this be the beginning of the end for this regime if things don’t pick up soon?

On the latest episode of the Pride Of Detroit PODcast, myself, Jeremy Reisman and Ryan Mathews break down what all went wrong on Sunday, attempt to administer antidotes to our egos and make peace with how many faults have been exposed in September.

We start with the defense, we discuss why there’s so many soft-tissue injuries happening this year and problems with the roster’s overall construction. This all leads to the crescendo in part three of the podcast, where we zero in on the man receiving the fanbase’s ire and rage: head coach Matt Patricia.
