Starting at noon ET on Sunday, the second wave of roster moves begins. At that moment, waiver wire claims will be processed and teams will be awarded new players. Recipient teams will then have an hour to decide what their corresponding moves will be to make room for awarded players.
After those moves are officially processed at 1 p.m. ET, teams will scramble to sign their 16-man practice squads from all unsigned players (including those just released as part of the waiver claim offset moves). As a reminder, every unsigned player—no matter how many years they’ve been in the league—is eligible to join a practice squad this year.
As things get underway at noon, we’ll be tracking it all. We’ll track all practice squad additions as the day goes on. We’ll note any waiver claims the Lions may have made. But we’ll also keep track of the 25 players the Lions waived or released over the weekend. Some may return to Detroit, but it’s possible they lose a few to waiver claims.
Be sure to stay tuned here and continually refresh when the news starts coming in at noon.
