The Detroit Lions made a bold move over the weekend, adding future Hall of Famer Adrian Peterson. The veteran running back is coming off solid seasons in Washington, but comes into a situation in Detroit where the Lions have already made a lot of adjustments this offseason. They spend a ton of draft capital on D’Andre Swift and Jason Huntley (he will be missed). They added a run-blocking right tackle in free agency and drafted two interior offensive linemen in Day 2 of the draft.
So what happens now? Is Bo Scarbrough going to be off the team? Is Kerryon Johnson in the dog house? Is D’Andre Swift’s injury more serious than being led on?
We break it all down on today’s mini-podcast. Myself, Ryan Mathews and John Whiticar discuss whether we approve of the Peterson signing, break down what we think his role will be, and debate what this means for the entire Lions running back corps.
Then we shift our attention to the practice squad and the loss of Jason Huntley. Did the Lions make the right decision? Should fans be upset about losing a fifth-round rookie?
All of that, and more, on yet another episode of the PODcast.
