Lions injury report: Matthew Stafford questionable, Kenny Golladay out vs. Vikings

It appears Matthew Stafford is trending towards playing again this week. Despite suffering an ankle injury that took him out of the first quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Stafford is questionable for Sunday’s finale against the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions quarterback was limited in practice again on Friday, and earlier in the week interim head coach Darrell Bevell said he’d be surprised if he didn’t play this week.

“You’re going to have to convince me a lot that this guy is not going to go,” Bevell said. “He’s as tough as they come, tough as nails.”

Also in good news, linebacker Jamie Collins Sr. returned to practice on Friday and, too, is listed as questionable. Collins missed last week’s game after suffering a neck injury against the Titans, and as the Lions’ best linebacker, we saw Detroit’s defense fall to an even lower level against the Bucs last week.

Lions center Frank Ragnow is also listed as questionable after three straight day of limited practice. The Pro Bowl offensive lineman suffered a fractured throat a few weeks back, but he spoke to the media on Friday and suggested that the main concern about his injury—the health of his vocal cords—has passed. He is now speaking after being told to stay silent for two weeks to give his bruised cords time to recover.

As for the Vikings, Dalvin Cook is out as expected, as is their best linebacker Eric Kendricks and rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler.
