NFL Wild Card Sunday open thread

Come watch some Sunday football with us.

Three teams saw their Lombardi Trophies end on Saturday. The Washington Football Team, Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts all dropped their Wild Card game on the first NFL Playoff tripleheader.

Today, six teams will try to avoid the same fate. First the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans face off in a rematch of a mid-season matchup. In that games, the Ravens were downed by the Titans 30-24 in a competitive game that went to overtime. Since then, however, the Ravens have gotten on a hot streak and could be a different team than the one the Titans saw back in November.

Next the 8-8 Chicago Bears will travel to New Orleans to try and prove the doubters wrong. Chicago ended the season getting smacked by the Packers, but had won three in a row prior to that game. These two teams, too, have played each other earlier in the year in a game that also went to overtime. The Saints barely edged out the Bears 26-23 after Chicago mounted a 10-point fourth-quarter comeback. Will this game be as close?

Finally, Wild Card Weekend ends with the Cleveland Browns in their first playoff game in nearly 20 years. They’ll have to down their familiar divisional foe who has dominated the AFC North for years. The Browns were able to pick up a win over the Steelers in Week 17, but that was against Pittsburgh’s backups, and it required some last-second heroics. The Browns were also short several receviers due to COVID in that game, but they’ll be missing their head coach this week.

So chat with us during all of these games, or visit myself over at Super Squares, where I’ll be providing live commentary for the final two games. Here’s how to watch ;
