We’re now just a few weeks away from Super Bowl Sunday with six teams remaining in the NFL Playoffs. Two more teams will be sent packing after the day is over and the Conference Championship games will be set. So far, the matchups have been fairly tame and uneventful, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get some exciting games the rest of the way.
The Bills, after shutting down the Ravens offense, are on their way to their first AFC Championship game since the 1993 season. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers looked dominant in their win over the Rams, and we’ve still got Chiefs-Browns and Saints-Bucs to hold us over until next week.
Today’s Question of the Day is...
Who are you rooting for to win the Super Bowl this year?
My answer: Bills Mafia, baby.
Obviously I can’t pick the Packers, and of the other two NFC teams left in the race, I don’t think I can pull myself to root for Tom Brady and the Bucs or Drew Brees and the Saints. They’ve both done it before, and those teams don’t excite me in the least bit. I guess I’d be fine with seeing the Saints making it to the Super Bowl if it meant that we didn’t have to see Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers make it that far.
For the AFC teams, I was extremely happy to see Andy Reid get a championship with the Chiefs and they’re one of the most exciting teams I’ve watched in my lifetime. But seeing them win back-to-back would be a pretty boring outcome to me, so give me Browns vs. Bills in the AFC Championship all the way.
If I could have it my way, we get Saints vs. Bills in the Super Bowl with Josh Allen proving all of the doubters wrong and winning the coveted Super Bowl MVP trophy to bring the Bills their first SB win.
Your turn.
