NFL playoff picks: Winners for NFC, AFC Championship games

Our staff makes their Conference Championship picks.

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Despite yesterday’s big news out of Detroit, the NFL has decided to continue with the 2020 postseason. Personally, I think it’s disrespectful, and the league should hold at least a day of mourning, but that’s just me.

Anyway, by the end of Sunday, we’ll have our two competitors for Super Bowl LV. Will the Chiefs get a chance at back-to-back titles, or will there be a new team atop the league in two weeks? Will the Packers get redemption after getting blown out in the NFC Championship last year, or will Tom Brady reach yet another Super Bowl, but represent the NFC for the first time.

Our staff made their picks for Championship weekend, and they’re quite interesting. Everyone is in agreement in the NFC, picking the Packers over the Buccaneers. Perhaps it’s the masochist in every Lions fan that is driving that decision.

However, in the AFC it’s a bit more split. Three are taking the up-and-coming Buffalo Bills, while six have Patrick Mahomes advancing.
