The Detroit Lions’ 2021 schedule is nearly set. Obviously, the dates of each game will be decided months from now in April, but because the regular season standing are now finished, all of Detroit’s 16 (maybe 17) opponents are set for 2021.
As always, the Lions will have six games in their division, playing a home and away game against all three NFC North foes. This year, they will also play the NFC West, featuring games against the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. Their AFC opponents next season will all come from the AFC North: the Steelers, Ravens, Browns and Bengals.
Then there’s the issue of a 17th game. While a 17th game has yet to be officially added, all signs point to there being one more game on next year’s schedule. The NFL has already decided that 17th game will involve an AFC vs. NFC matchup, and according to Albert Breer, the NFC North will be facing off against the AFC West in 2021 . That means the Lions have a date against the Denver Broncos, though it’s not clear whether that will be a home or away game.
Put it all together, and here are the Lions’ 17 opponents for 2021.
