The Detroit Lions have a ton of going on right now. They’re still in the midst of building a coaching staff, both head coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes are likely still acclimating to their new offices. Oh, and they have a franchise quarterback to trade—possibly as soon as this week.
And amidst all that, the Lions had contingent down in Mobile, Alabama to look at tomorrow’s stars during the week of Senior Bowl practice.
While those practices are already in the books, Saturday presents a unique opportunity for the best of the best to face off against each other in a game-like scenario. Sure, there are certain rules aimed at protecting players, but it’s still an important part of the process.
And, thankfully, us fans can watch, too, as these players try to make an impression in one of the final events prior to the 2021 NFL Draft in April. Because the NFL Combine has essentially been cancelled, it makes Saturday’s game even more important for those in attendance.
