The NFL playoffs kick off in just over 24 hours, and even though I’ve checked and re-checked 30 times, the Detroit Lions apparently will not be among the six Wild Card games this weekend. They must’ve gotten a bye, I guess.
For the first time in NFL history, there are three Wild Card teams per conference, which means there are six Wild Card games this weekend. A full day of NFL playoff football on both Saturday and Sunday is a beautiful thing.
And although there are some not-so-great looking games on this weekend’s docket—four of the six matchups currently have a line of six points or higher—I’m not going to complain about playoff football.
Our staff took a look at this weekend’s games and made their best predictions for what will happen in the opening week of the 2020-2021 NFL playoffs. As of now, there are only two games in which we have a full consensus on who will win. We all have the surging Bills taking down the Colts, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking down the NFC East winning Washington Football Team.
