The Detroit Lions head to Minnesota this week in search of their first win. Head coach Dan Campbell talked about how important that first win of the season will be.

“Look, winning solves a lot of issues, solves a lot of problems in this profession and most professions,” Campbell said. “It certainly—it helps. It helps you get going. It helps you jump out of bed maybe a little bit better. And so, yeah, it does. That’s what this is about is getting that first win for us and getting a win.”

While the Minnesota Vikings enter this week at 1-3, they will be no pushover for the Lions. They boast some of the most talented skill-position players in Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen and Dalvin Cook—although Cook is a game-time decision for Sunday. They’ve also got a defense that is slowly starting to get it together again, in a way that you knew Mike Zimmer was going to do eventually.

But they are far from a perfect team. The Vikings often seem to be incapable of getting out of their own way, they’ve got some serious issues on their offensive line, and they’re uncharacteristically bleeding a ton of yards on the ground—which should play into the Lions’ strategy nicely.

So are any of us taking the Lions, despite being double-digit underdogs this week? Check out our picks and score predictions for Lions vs. Vikings.
