It’s not been a hot week for the Detroit Lions. Injuries have taken hold, and the club is now without its starting center Frank Ragnow, among others. Each week has brought heartbreak and “almost, kinda, not quite.” While the team is trending the wrong way on injuries and personnel, there’s still the lingering hope they can pull out a win, soon, sometime, maybe, it’s good to dream.
For the Minnesota Vikings, this game represents a chance to bounce back. They are flailing hard, with their sole win coming two weeks ago against the Seattle Seahawks. If they hope to keep pace with the Green Bay Packers in the division, they’ll need to get things going and soon. However, their star running back Dalvin Cook is (stop us if you’ve heard this before) playing through lingering injury issues, and his status will be a game-time decision. His absence could be a blow for the Vikings, who are coming off producing just seven points against the Cleveland Browns.
Will the Vikings get their needed win and keep their hopes alive, or will the Lions manage to find some pride and hang a victory on Sunday?
