The Detroit Lions suffered yet another injury in the first half of their contest against the Minnesota Vikings. Wide receiver Quintez Cephus hurt his shoulder on Detroit’s final offensive drive of the half and was reportedly carted to the locker room shortly after. The Lions declared him questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

Cephus picked up 21 yards on the play, but on his way out of bounds, two Vikings defenders landed on top of him, and he came down on that left shoulder hard.

A 2020 fifth-round pick, Cephus has been starting to break out and show a little chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff. Last week, Cephus set a career high with 83 receiving yards, and he currently leads the team in touchdown catches with two. In the first half, he was off to another promising start with three catches for 38 yards.

Cephus did not return to play in the second half, as KhaDarel Hodge took his place with the offense.

We’ll update this post when any new information comes on Cephus’ injury.

UPDATE: Cephus has been downgraded to OUT. He will not return.
