The Detroit Lions are on attempt No. 6 to get in the win column. This week, they’ll take on a rising Cincinnati Bengals team that has produced a 3-2 record through five games and have hung in every game they’ve been in. It’s a tough matchup for the Lions, seeing as Detroit’s offense has really struggled lately and the Bengals have one of the most underrated defenses in the league.
But Detroit has also been in every game this season. They’ve played up to their competition and been a couple unlikely kicks from having at least a win or two this season.
So can the Lions pull off a minor upset—Bengals are favored by 3.5—and end the extremely premature, extremely annoying 0-17 chatter, or will Detroit head to Los Angeles next week a winless team in their reunion with Matthew Stafford?
Hang out with us here during the first half and chat in the comment section below. There will be a separate post for the second half.
