Lions-Rams podcast preview: What can Detroit do to keep it close?

We chat with Rams blogger Robert Finn to find out.

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

All week, we’ve been told the Detroit Lions have no chance this Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Jared Goff says he’s going to let the emotions go by the time of the opening kickoff. Matthew Stafford wouldn’t say a bad thing about Detroit and even complimented their secondary. Aaron Donald continues to be feared, and the Lions continue to have injury issues.

We know all of that. But what we don’t know is if there is actually any pathway to victory this week. It seems unlikely, even with the “any given Sunday” caveat. But to make absolutely, positively sure there’s no chance at a Lions victory—or even a close game—we chatted with Robert Finn (@RobertFinnIsMe) from Turf Show Times to get a Rams perspective on Sunday’s game.

Finn also gives us his thoughts on Jared Goff, why Matthew Stafford has succeeded so thoroughly in Los Angeles, and what the Lions have in Aubrey Pleasant and Brad Holmes. Of course, we finish the show with predictions for Lions vs. Rams.
