Lions vs. Bears first half open thread

Can the Lions pick up their first win of the season?

The Detroit Lions are still seeking their first victory under Dan Campbell after the first month of the season went fruitless. But they’ve been darn close a couple times already. Spirits still seem somewhat high in Detroit, as they’ve seen week-to-week improvement and the culture shift still seems to be holding strong.

But last week’s heartbreaker will provide Detroit its first true emotional test. After going toe-to-toe with an AFC playoff contender, only to lose on a last-second, record-breaking field goal, can the good vibes continue? Will Detroit come back even hungrier for a Week 4 win, or are they due for a letdown game after giving everything they had last week?

Of course, the Chicago Bears will have a say in everything. They’re facing a bit of a fork in the road, as well. Last week’s embarrassment will either be a wake-up call for Chicago or the final straw that broke the camel’s back in the Matt Nagy era. They’ve got a gauntlet of games coming up, so they can ill-afford to drop this one at home to a Detroit team in rebuild, but those weaknesses exposed by the Browns last week are real.

So who will come out of Week 4 with the win? Chat with us during the first half of the 1 p.m. ET game in the comment section below.
