The Lions are set to make Antwaan Randle El their new wide receivers coach, according to a report Tuesday from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. This is the continuation of Dan Campbell building out his staff with former players, many of whom have seen tremendous success.
Question of the day:
My answer: Absolutely.
Randle El is yet another home run hire for the Campbell coaching staff. He was a very successful wide receiver in the NFL and most recently an offensive assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 2019, so he has a lot of field experience.
Randle El is also just a fun guy. He famously orchestrated the trick play touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL, just one of his six career passing touchdowns. Hopefully he’ll bring that same energy to Detroit.
What do you think of the hire? Let us know below and in the comments.
