The Lions have a lot of needs to fill this offseason. And that means they can go just about anywhere with the No. 7 pick in this year’s draft.
One interesting wrinkle for the Lions, who had a historically awful defense a year ago, is that there aren’t many defensive players worthy of a top-10 pick this year. The closest might be Micah Parsons, a linebacker from Penn State, but I’m not sure linebacker is the type of impact position the Lions need for today’s NFL.
After trading for Jared Goff, one popular pick among draftniks seems to be wide receiver, as seen by Todd McShay’s latest mock.
This leads us to the Question of the Day:
How would you react if the Lions selected a WR at No. 7 overall?
I’d be happy! If the Lions stay put at No. 7 and draft a wide receiver it means that he was their highest-rated player on the board. Rather than see them reach for a defender, I’d like to see this team add as much quality talent as possible.
Yes, even if it’s ANOTHER top-10 wide receivers.
After all, the last one they drafted is in the Hall of Fame now.
Your turn.
