Forecasting the Lions first round draft strategy

Will the Lions take a quarterback or another position? Trade up or trade down?

We’ve had a full week without any football whatsoever, besides this nonsense FCF stuff Jeremy keeps asking me about. I have no reason to believe it’s not some fever dream he concocted. I will not discuss this subject further, lest I get some email from a sweaty marketing person hoping we’ll sell ourselves out to further promote this.

It seems as if the Detroit Lions are signalling for Jared Goff to be the quarterback of the immediate future, but does that mean they won’t take a quarterback in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft? Can they even get on the ground floor for most of them without trading up, given how QB-hungry the league has gotten in recent days?

And if not quarterbacks, what else is there? How much love is there for a Kyle Pitts, or perhaps a wide receiver or a defensive lineman? Where is the depth to the draft?

We sit down and answer all those questions on the latest of the award-winning* Pride of Detroit PODcast, where all these answers and much more await for those brave enough to listen on their way to work, out on a stroll or just chilling. We’re also famous now thanks to Jeremy’s moustache. Get the show now.
