This week we’re introducing a new way for you to connect and interact with the Pride of Detroit community. Starting on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. ET, we’re kicking off a weekly show in which you can participate, providing both questions for our panel and actually join our panel to give your thoughts and opinions live on air. Here’s how it works:
Locker Room
You may have heard of a recent popular app called Clubhouse, which allows several people to join an audio chat room with main keynote speakers that can pull audience members in front of the a virtual podium to talk.
The Locker Room app—which owners of Apple products can download here—works in the same way, but with a focus on sports. Download the app, pick your favorite teams, add @PrideOfDetroit as a friend, and you’ll be ready to join our weekly, Saturday morning shows.
When we go live on Saturday morning, you should get a notification to join. From there, you can listen, use the text chat room to give your comments and questions, and you can also request to join the show and make your voice literally heard.
Here’s the even cooler part: If we get a good conversation going, we’ll upload the audio to our podcast feed for yet another episode to consume every week. And that means, yes, you can be a part of our podcast!
The too long, didn’t read version:
What: A live Q&A podcast on the app Locker Room
When: Every Saturday morning around 10:30 a.m. ET
How to join: Download the Locker Room app (currently available in the Apple Store only), create account, add Detroit Lions as a favorite sports teams, add “PrideOfDetroit” as friend, and open the app at 10:30 a.m. ET on Saturday
Who: Our first episode will feature Jeremy Reisman, Erik Schlitt and Ryan Mathews on the panel
If you have any questions about the app or topics you want us to talk about on Saturday, throw them in the chat below and we’ll do our best to answer!
