NFL free agency is imminent. With the “legal tampering period” set to start at Noon ET on Monday afternoon, we will suddenly see players agree to terms with new teams. In what will be one of the strangest offseasons due to a shrinking salary cap, there is bound to be even more movement as good players are cut and others are traded away.
The Detroit Lions find themselves in the middle of it all trying to pull off a full rebuild. We’ve already seen them make a few additions and a lot more subtractions. They’ve pulled off one of the biggest trades in NFL history, and we’re not even to the start of the new league year yet.
There’s going to be a lot more to come. So to keep track of it all, we’re bringing back our offseason tracker, which will keep tabs on all of the Lions free agents, list all of Detroit’s new signings or trades, and link back to the original article so that you can get the details right there.
This will be a great resource during free agency so that you don’t miss any moves, but it’s also a valuable list later in the offseason—or even next year—to get a summary of what the Lions accomplished in the offseason. For example, look at how bad last year’s offseason was. Or the year before!
Without further ado, here is the always-updating 2021 Detroit Lions free agency tracker.
