While the Detroit Lions haven’t gone quite as crazy as previous years—and perhaps that’s a good thing—it’s been a pretty interesting week of free agency for the rebuilding team. The Lions pulled off a couple of trades, saw a few key pieces sign elsewhere, and they’re taking a couple of flyers on young players.

Overall, it’s an interesting strategy and one that probably makes a lot of sense for where the team is currently at in 2021. That being said, there were a couple of eyebrow-raising moves that deserve, at the very least, some skepticism.

The Lions are far from done in free agency. All it takes is one glance at their current depth chart to see that this team has a long way to go simply to fill out a 90-man roster. So where will they go from here?

We’ll talk about that and a lot more on our next Locker Room show.

If you haven’t joined our Locker Room shows yet, here’s how it works. Every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. ET, myself, Erik Schlitt and Ryan Mathews (schedules pending) jump on the Locker Room app (currently only available on Apple devices) and answer any questions you may have. You can download the app, follow us (@prideofdetroit) and listen live to the show. You can also text in our chat room, or if you want to join the show, you can request to speak, and we’ll bring you aboard to talk a little Lions football.

If you aren’t able to make the shows live, we do put the audio on our podcast feed for you to listen after the show is recorded. Also, if you can’t make it live but want to ask a question, you can throw a comment below this article or tweet at us using the hashtag #AskPOD.
