Video: Why the Lions nailed Day 1 of the NFL Draft.

Day 1 of the Lions “Super Bowl” was a success!

Rejoice! Brad Holmes and the Detroit Lions brass kept it simple and drafted Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell. Reminiscent of Bob Quinn’s inaugural pick, we hope this one turns out as good or even better. By now you’ve read the glowing reviews of the pick and even if you wanted to go in a different position (QB, WR) or a different player at the same position (Rashawn Slater) it’s hard to be upset at the selection. Jerry gives his two cents on the pick, highlighted by a draft analysis gripe that probably led to Sewell coming to Detroit. He also gives a few names to consider as Day 2 approaches. Check it out.

Reminder: If you haven’t done so already, now is the time to subscribe to Pride of Detroit’s YouTube channel. It’s draft time and tons of content from the entire crew will be rolling out over the next few days and beyond.
