Warning: The following article includes an awesome amount of profanity for an introductory press conference.

If you thought Penei Sewell had an intense introductory press conference, wait until you hear from the Detroit Lions’ second-round pick.

Washington defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike joined the Lions media on Friday evening and his intensity came through both in his tone, but certainly through his choice of words.

“I like fucking people up,” Onwuzurike said. “I like to get off the line and just put my helmet or my hands on an offensive lineman and fuck up an offense’s scheme, pretty much. I like pushing them back 2, 3 yards and just making them feel like shit.”

Onwuzurike—pardon my language—fucked up college offenses for three seasons as a Huskie. Though he played mostly at the nose tackle position, he was a force as a pass rusher, creating 42 hurries in his final two season, according to PFF. However, in 2020, he decided to opt out.

“It was real difficult just watching my boys out there,” Onwuzurike said.

But now Onwuzurike will return to football with the Detroit Lions, and he’s already expressed excitement towards what the team is building, having spent their first two picks on linemen of opposite sides.

“I think the Lions are trying to build some shit right here and we got two good-ass parts to build that,” Onwuzurike said.

Lions general manager Brad Holmes didn’t seem too surprised by the revelation that Onwuzurike’s press conference was R-rated.

“I heard his press conference was pretty explosive, as well,” Holmes laughed. “I didn’t get a chance to hear it yet, but you kinda see the personality and fire that he’s got in him.”
