NFL draft: Detroit Lions trade up into 4th, nab Purdue LB Derrick Barnes

The Lions got back-to-back picks in the fourth, and knocked out two immediate needs.

The Detroit Lions did some quick work on Saturday morning. First, they selected USC wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown with their original fourth-round pick (112). Immediately after, however, they traded back up into the fourth round to get back-to-back picks. Here are the details of the trade, per Kevin Winter of ESPN:

Lions get:

  • Pick 113
  • Pick 257

Browns get:

  • Pick 153
  • Lions’ 2022 fourth-round pick

With their second pick in the fourth round, the Lions have selected Purdue linebacker Derrick Barnes.
